Supporting the Art of Film and Filmmaking
“Give them pleasure. The same pleasure they have when they wake up from a nightmare.” -Alfred Hitchcock
Good things happen when the best-of-the-best engage in a common goal. At the Grand Teton Film Festival, we encourage filmmakers to get to know each other by providing a place where ideas and friendships can be founded.
There is no substitute for the thrill of seeing your hard work up on the silver screen and watching the reaction of audience members. The Grand Teton Film Festival seeks to provide all levels of filmmakers with this unique experience.
Grand Teton Film Festival is dedicated to providing education for beginning or intermediate filmmakers by enlisting industry professionals to teach hands-on workshops that will empower and encourage participants to create.
The Grand Teton Film Festival is based in Rexburg, Idaho which is nestled in the beautiful Upper Snake River Valley. Rexburg is a gateway community to many of the world's top tourist destinations including Yellowstone National Park, Henry's Lake, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, Craters of the Moon, Salmon River Rafting, Mesa Falls, Island Park, and many more. Be sure to plan a few extra days after the festival to enjoy Idaho!
The Grand Teton Film Festival has partnered with several organizations and businesses to provide the official festival venues which are conveniently located within short walking distance of each other.
Placed all within one city block is the Rexburg Tabernacle, the Romance Theater, and Paramount 5. All of the workshops and film screenings will be held in these venues. The Street Fair or "Festival Central" will be held on Center Street that runs between Paramount 5 and the Romance Theater. The Opening Gala reception will be held at The Atrium which is Rexburg's premiere reception center. The Award Ceremony and Celebratory Concert will be held in the 1,200-seat Madison Performing Arts Center.
We are grateful to have such wonderful venues to use for the Festival.
The Grand Teton Film Festival is made possible by the generosity of many individuals, businesses, and organizations. We highly value our relationship with these good people who desire to support the art of filmmaking and celebrate those who create it. The Festival is powered by many amazing volunteers that bring their time and talents together to make something great. As the festival continues to grow more and more each year, we dedicate ourselves to supporting the filmmaker and seeking new opportunities.
